Welcome to Our Wedding Website

A wedding involving a self confessed geek like myself would not be complete without its own website, so here it is…OK that’s not the main reason. The main reason for this site is to give guests the important information that won’t fit on the back of an invite. There is also the matter of what to expect at a Spanish wedding (why is everyone shouting and swinging napkins in the air?) and what to expect of an English wedding (why are there so many people with the bride, who is the guy giving a speech).

We know most people will be booking flights and other hotels we have included links to the best travel websites around with suggestions on what to do and where to stay. So sit back, make a cup of tea (if you are English) or a cortado(Spanish) and have a browse around.

Finding a Venue

Spain is a big place, and Thais has family in both near/in Madrid and  in Barcelona but again a beach wedding helps us here as Madrid is 4 hours from the sea, however Barcelona is expensive and a lot of the beaches are busy and/or dirty.

The Proposal

As some of you will know (and a lot of you saw first hand). I proposed to Thais in the summer of 2011 at a party we were having on a “beach” I had constructed out of play pit sand and potpourri (it looked better than you are thinking).
